In counselling, I aim to create a warm and accepting space while you explore, unpack, and navigate your life experiences and move towards your preferred future. I believe that each person is the expert in their life and has a unique story, perspective, and context that shapes how they experience themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. If you choose to work with me, we will work collaboratively to unpack and integrate your experiences, reflect on and strengthen what works for you, and develop strategies to support you to move towards the things that matter most to you. Whether you are seeking counselling because you are navigating feelings of anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, questions about identity or sexuality, a major life transition, or maybe are just feeling stuck, I am here to support you in exploring your challenges and moving toward the life, outlook, and relationship(s) you hope for.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Education, specializing in Counselling Psychology, from Simon Fraser University. My path to pursuing the counselling profession began while I was working as a co-facilitator of a support group for at-risk teens when I was a youth. That experience inspired me to help others with similar life experiences increase their sense of resilience. Since then, I have worked in a variety of helping professions with children, youth, and adults exploring topics like mental health and wellbeing, stress, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief, substance use and misuse, sexual and gender identity, sexuality, relationships, communication, and life transitions.

My counselling approach is integrative, interpersonal, and relational. It is also informed by Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Gottman Method, and, when appropriate, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I draw from these approaches flexibly and collaboratively rather than assuming one way of working will fit everyone. I believe that identities, communities, relationships, and broader social contexts can profoundly shape experiences of oneself and others. I am committed to practicing in ways that are culturally sensitive, gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity affirmative, and sex positive. I have a special interest in working with 2SLGBTQQIA+, non-monogamous, and kink communities.

I continue to be curious about people and deeply appreciative of the capacity we have to grow, change, and create lives that feel meaningful and authentic. I hope that if you decide to work with me, I can help create a space where you feel empowered to do so!
